ChurchSpring Giving can be an incredible tool to help your church steward your congregation’s donations. In this article, we’ll explore some ChurchSpring Giving features to help you manage and increase donations.
Add Different Funds
ChurchSpring Giving has been designed to help you track not only the financial gifts of an individual church member but also have the ability to designate where those donations should go. Do you have a special offering or a building project? You can set up specific Funds in the Giving platform for people to select and to help you account for fund reporting.
To set up, track, and manage a specific giving fund, select the tab titled “Funds” when you are logged into your ChurchSpring site and navigate to the Giving area.
Select the Funds tab to view the option “Add a Fund” to create and name a new Fund to track. Now when someone clicks on the giving button on your website, they will have to option to choose any Fund that you make available. One someone gives to a fund, those records will automatically be counted and viewable in each fund category.
When a fund is completed, like a holiday mission’s fund or special offering, you can archive the fund so it can no longer be selected as an option. Once archived you will have access to all the records as needed.
Accept and Report In-Person Gifts
Online giving is a fantastic way for your church members to give but not everybody will give online every time. Because giving is still done through things like cash and checks, ChurchSpring giving has made it easy for churches to accept and record both online donations and physical donations such as cash and checks . Add a Give Button Anywhere On Your Website
Go ahead, get creative! You can add a “Give” button that links directly to your ChurchSpring-powered Giving page on any page of your website. We have made it easy for you to simply added a button that will help direct your members to your online giving! Learn how to add Give buttons to your website.
Filter Reports Need
Need to see last month’s gifts or last year’s report? We designed your Giving Dashboard to display a current date range to stay up to date with current gifts. Change the custom date range to view a different time period via the calendar tool.

Zero Extra Costs or Added Giving Fees
If you’ve had a giving platform before, you know that hidden fees can lurk everywhere. Here at ChurchSpring, our goal is to help the Church fulfill the Great Commission. We offer a Giving Platform for free in all our plans. The only fees you can expect are the required feeds from the credit card companies which are currently 2.9% + 0.30 per credit or debit card transaction or 0.8% (with a cap of $5) for ACH bank transfers.
Online donors do have the option to cover that credit card cost for churches which will increase their total amount accordingly. All they have to do is click the checkbox highlighted here below to add the processing fee to their donation.
Many other church website and giving providers charge monthly fees or setup fees on top of the card processing fee. We don’t make anything from your donation since it’s our desire to support the church and not burden the church with extra fees.
