Making Sure Your Church Website is Secure

How do I know if my website is secure?

Site security on the web is more important now than ever before. ChurchSpring takes security very seriously. That's why we offer a free security (or SSL) certificate upon request. But before you request a security certificate, let's make sure you don't already have one. If there is a lock icon displayed to the left of your domain name, then you are good to go!

If you see a message like the following, then your site is needs a security certificate:

If you see a "not secure" message next to your domain, don't panic! That doesn't mean that people can easily access your information. All of the ChurchSpring sites are password protected. All that message means is it's not as secure as the latest standards around the web. We will help you get completely secured in no time.

How do I request my free security certificate?

Simply submit a support ticket and request your free security certificate and we will set it up for you. Most security certificates are issues within an hour or two of the initial request as long as the request was made during our normal support hours (Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm CST)
