Google Analytics Integration

Not sure how many people visit your site? Do you want to know if the amount of people visiting your bulletins page is worth the time it took to make those updates? Is anyone listening to your sermons online? Google Analytics is a powerful tool that helps you answer those questions and many more. Google Analytics lets you measure the number of unique visitors to your site, track the most popular pages, see how long your visitors stay on each page and so much more. The information you gain from Google Analytics will help you decide what changes need to be made to your site in order to help your site become a more effective tool for your ministry.

Setting up Google Analytics in ChurchSpring is incredibly simple. Follow these easy steps to get Google Analytics up and running on your ChurchSpring site in a matter of minutes:

  1. Sign in to your Analytics account.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. Select an account from the menu in the ACCOUNT column.
  4. Select a property from the menu in the PROPERTY column.
  5. Under PROPERTY, click Tracking Info > Tracking Code. Your tracking ID is displayed at the top of the page.

    Your tracking code should look something like this:

    window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
    function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
    gtag('js', new Date());
    gtag('config', 'UA-XXXXXXXXX-1');

  6. Next, login to your ChurchSpring website and click on the settings link at the top right of the page
  7. Go to the Website tab
  8. Click on Analytics
  9. Paste your Google Analytics tracking code in the box on that screen
  10. Click the "Save Information" button and your Done!
